The Bergen Summer Research School is targeted for PhD students and junior faculty.

A good command of the English language is required.

Requirements for contribution

Students can apply for only one theme. Upon application, a full abstract stating your research should be included in the online application.

Students, who are accepted in March, have to write a paper on the theme of their selection. The paper shall be organized as an article, and the maximum word length is 6000 words. The paper must be submitted before the May deadline. This deadline will be defined in the letter of acceptance. Accepted students are expected to take part in all events throughout the conference, and to be active in commenting and discussing the papers of other PhD-students in their thematic group.

Credits

For the full attendance of all the PhD-conference programme, a certificate of attendance will be awarded stating the equivalent ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).

Evaluation

All applications will be evaluated for the relevance of the submitted abstract within the theme description to which the candidate applied.
